Info

Huge project (work in progress) which will feature the city of Rome in various time-frames such as the Empiral Roman Rome, medieval Rome, Renaissance Rome etc.

As a matter of fact a huge team is needed to create the city for even one time-phase. Rome consisted of more than 40.000 (!) individual “Insulae” and tons of special monumental buildings featuring the Colosseum, Circus Maximus, the Forum Romanum and the Vaticane just to name a few.

For this project I created a set of Inusla-houses (modular-creation so there are various possibilities of recreating for more variety), the Circus Maximus, the Circus Gai-Nerois, the Circus Flora, the Domus Aurea and all the world-famous Aquaeducts surrounding and crossing Rome.

After creating the “ideal-state” of the models, the next step was to rebuild them depending on their level of destruction over time. Overall a very challenging project, especially cause most of those buildings are completely gone in our days and research often shows multiple “possible” recreations.

Project is for an exhibition and will be released later this year.
